Who Are the Village Tenders?

Trained leaders who hold new families through the hardest season of their lives.

Village Tenders are certified practitioners — doulas, midwives, educators, coaches, and community mothers — who have completed Kerry Ingram's signature leadership training and are building real, sustainable in-person community around new families.

They are the people who know how to show up. How to hold space. How to build the systems that make villages possible — not as a volunteer, but as a professional with a credential, a practice, and a client pipeline.

"You are a revolutionary game-changer. Your passion pours out and blankets us all in a way that satisfies a yearning for our sisters-mothers-best friends."

— Kerry's graduate, Village Tenders Training

Your Guide
Hi, I'm Kerry.
Founder, Village Tenders School

I grew up in an Italian immigrant neighborhood in Gen X — surrounded by kids and elders, dual-working parents, front porches, and everyone knowing everyone's business. Community support was baked into life. That neighborhood literally helped me survive and become who I am.

30 years of work later: trained early childhood educator, postpartum doula, maternal mental health champion, parent and baby group facilitator, community leader. Mother, former foster parent. I've supported hundreds of thousands of families.

The reason I stopped? No financial reciprocity. I wasn't selling anything — the work just stopped. I shifted to Pilates to stay afloat. Now I'm ready to teach the next generation how to skill up, show up in person, step into leadership, and create spaces for real in-person community.

This is the work I was always meant to teach.

Postpartum Doula Early Childhood Educator Maternal Mental Health Community Facilitator 30+ Years Experience

You are a revolutionary game-changer. I have admired you and your work for many years now but you have taken the content and your collective wisdom to a whole new level. Your passion pours out and blankets us all in a way that satisfies a yearning for our sisters-mothers-best friends.

Village Tenders Graduate Postpartum Doula & Community Facilitator

Kerry has a way of making you feel like the work you do matters — and then handing you the exact tools to prove it to the world. I left with language I didn't have before, a pricing framework I actually believe in, and a community that feels like home.

Village Tenders Graduate Early Childhood Educator, California

I've been doing this work informally for years without knowing how to charge for it. This certification gave me the professional identity I was missing. Within three months of completing the training I had my first paid cohort running.

Village Tenders Graduate Birth Worker & New Mom Group Facilitator

What Kerry teaches isn't just a program — it's a philosophy. She changed how I understand community, isolation, and what it actually means to show up for a family in the fourth trimester. I recommend this to every birthworker I know.

Interest List Open

Before you apply,
a few answers.

Do I need to be a certified doula or midwife to apply?
No. The prerequisite is active work with families or community groups — not a specific credential. We've trained educators, community mothers, and coaches who've built thriving practices.
What's the time commitment?
Two live sessions per month over six months, plus async coursework. Most students spend 4–6 hours per week during intensive modules, less during integration weeks.
Is this program offered online?
Yes. The core certification is fully online (live + async). Retreats are optional in-person events offered separately.
What does the $2,000 investment include?
Six months of live cohort sessions, the full async curriculum, facilitation templates and resources, monthly mentorship calls with Kerry, peer community access, and the Village Tenders certification upon graduation.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. We offer 2- and 4-month payment plans. Note the application in the comments field when you apply and we'll include options in your acceptance letter.
How do I know this is right for me?
If you're the one who organizes the meal trains, who shows up, who says "there has to be a better way" — this is for you. Book a free 20-minute discovery call with Kerry before you apply.
What happens after I graduate?
You join the Village Tenders practitioner network — ongoing peer support, referral pathways, case consultation, and continued learning. This is a lineage, not a one-time transaction.
Can I earn income while in the program?
Yes — the Practicum module (Month 5) is specifically designed to launch your first paid cohort while you're still in training. Most graduates have paying clients before they certify.
